Let's say very much heavier than neo-classical. Ang neo-classical kasi more on guitar solos/exhibition eh, it can still stand kahit walang vocs..

@olops
cool! I think your sound will be great.

Pumunta ako sa rock concert kagabi (1st time!). Yung sa Tanduay T5, featuring 5 bands, yung Bamboo, Kamikazee, Chicosci, 6cyclemind and Sandwhich.

I truly enjoyed it, especially the performance of Kamikazee! Jay, ftw!

Yung Chicosci, metal rock ba ang genre nila? Habang nakikinig ako sa vocalist nila, iniisip ko ''meh..'', tapos his first 4 songs are in english, so parang di naenjoy ng mga katabi ko. Si Jay of Kamikazee, is truly amazing, bigay ang performance, complete with humor/swearing etc. I don't enjoy rock in general, but the concert is a class by itself.

Edit.

By god, may nagsusuntukan at nagtutulukan na habang nagpeperform yung  sandwhich. Me nabato pa sa amin. He, he. Enjoy naman!

Si Ozzy Osbourne pala yun. He was the lead vocalist of Black Sabbath, isang heavy metal band. Hindi siya kumain ng butiki, kundi he bites the head of a bat while performing.

Olops, nagpeperform kayo ng live, in front of people?

Yup we perform live nung nandito pa yung vocs namin sa pinas.

:rofl:

I Love classical music. Even as a child, I would listen to it. I have no favourite composer, because I love them all.
I play the piano now., but still not a pro, because I have no teacher and I only teach myself. I have no money to enroll in any music school.
I'm glad that I found this  thread. Now I know that i'm not the only kid who patronize classical music here in PH.

Welcome watermark, feel free, learn and share.

:hmm: Magkano tuition pag conservatory?

As olops said, you are very much welcome here. You discovered classical music as a child, wow, that's great. I only started loving classical, in my early teens. I hope you post more often in this thread. You can list your favorite classical pieces here. Pity, you can't enroll in a music conservatory to sharpen your piano skills, but remember some of the greatest composers and pianists were self-taught. Take for example Liszt, Arrau,  Horowitz, Richter etc.

@olops
thanks olops for welcoming people who post here.

Music conservatory school are expensive! Mga rich lang yata ang nakaka-afford non. Unless you have a scholarship, at ikaw ang re-incarnation ni Liszt at Show-pan, hindi tayo makakapasok sa school na yun.

Trivia: Sa Julliards, ang the best musical conservatory sa mundo, ang approval rate for music students ay less than 5%.

Count me in here. Kasama ba ang choral music sa topic?

Yeah, aaminin ko, I'm with the pop generation, as the most youngsters do, pero it's worth unwinding if you listening to the melodramatic sound of classic.

Basahin ko muna buong thread. :)

Pasensya na po sa consecutive posting. [ayt! Hindi pala.]

@Olops blending Classic with Metal is a very, very brilliant idea. Very mind-blowing, mind you. Blending piano, violin with bass and drums is great. I'm not sure pero may narinig na 'yata akong ganyan. Sa O2Jam 'yata.

@jaypee congratulations sa thread!

Me? I started appreciating classic when I was freshman in high school when I entered a high school choir. But before that, I was in a church choir in UST. I quitted listening to classic when I entered college (wala na kasi akong choir) but I do listen to some instrumentals like Nodame Cantible (Japan), Yiruma (South Korea), and some other instrumentals from various OST's. I also listening to Libera (United Kingdom), an internationally acclaimed all-boys choir in St. Philipp's Cathedral, South London.

I hope choral music is also welcome here. [thank you very much]

EDIT:

@this.is.me

I mentioned Bach at Handel dahil they were the great composers of choral music. Handel composed the famous choral, 'Hallelujah' from his work, Messiah.

Yup. Claire de Lune ni Claude Debussy is a great composition for the piano. He, he. Allergic me sa Twilight, eh.

Your very much welcome here, ako nga metal talaga influence ko pero sobrang hooked ako sa classical music lalo na nung tinry ko imerge ang 2 genres. Sobrang namangha kasi ako sa resulta eh. Kung baga kakaibang anyo ng galit eh. ;D

Maaga mo pala naappreciate ang classical music, which is bihira lang sa mga kabataan ngayon. :thumbsup:

Such a jolly song. But I'm a melodramatic person (emo?).

@Olops Yeah! Influence na rin siguro ng family ko. My grandmother (Sylvia La Torre) is a kundiman singer, a famous of her time; my aunt is a music teacher in a Chinese college in Binondo; my uncle-in-law is a cellist; most of my cousins, my siblings and I had choral experiences.

Frankly speaking, hindi ko trip ang Metal (same with Rap), though I can appreciate it lalo na kung live. Ang hate ko talaga ay 'yung Pinoy Novelty which also includes the Viva Entertainment's P-Pop initiative. I rather listen to folk songs rather than that freaky genre.

Maganda nga ang kalalabasan ng classical metal (or metallic classic or whatever).

<del>Try to play O2Jam or simply download their songs.</del> Ayt, electronic pala 'yun. Sorry, offtopic tuloy.

Guys, alam n'yo ba 'yung Air (violin)? Sabi ng tito ko, there are four versions of Air, the original is in 'Dm' string, then there are G string, A string, at hindi ko na alam 'yung isa pa.

FYI: Don't you guys know the only FM radio station in the county which plays nothing but Classical music? 98.7MHz is. Try to listen to it now. :thumbsup:

@this.is.me - Astig nasa roots narin pala. :thumbsup:.

Wow.. Ang astig ng Hallelujah! Anong type ng voice mo this.is.me ? I want to hear your voice :-D!

@olops
agree with the two of you. Novelty songs while catchy is very annoying.

I appreciate it naman eh. In fact, I recently did listen to Maximum The Hormone (Japan). Noisy din sila.

@jaypee Re books: yes, much better. You can feel romanticism upon reading. Re voice: dati 'yun... I'm not singing nowadays since I graduate high school. I am a tenor before pero mas bumaba na kasi ang tremble ko nowadays kaya I can classify myself as Bass.

@this.is.me - Im not familiar with that band, pero tingin ko metal din music nila.
